I've reset the app in Apps and Features, I've uninstalled the app and re-installed it from the MS Store. I've used Brink's tutorial on resetting and re-registering the app. Normal behaviour of S&S is that you see the yellow border for an instant, and then the small control panel emerges onscreen. The yellow border disappears after a few seconds, but no snip has been taken. Snipping Tool is the focus in this post, with a new shortcut of Windows + Shift + S that now takes a screenshot of the whole desktop and saves it into a folder.
